At our Welcome Days, newcomers receive all the information they need for a successful start in Carinthia. These sessions are usually 90 minutes long and give an overview about the Carinthian way of life and, most importantly, how the CIC can support you during your arrival and integration period. There are so many “pros” to attending one of our Welcome Days including meeting other expats and locals, getting to know the CIC team members, asking any questions you may have, as well as enjoying lots of tea, coffee, juices and delicious biscuits.
Make sure to check out our website for the date of our next Welcome Day, as we are looking forward to meeting you. Don’t feel anxious about getting in touch, as we all felt nervous the first time we attended. Rest assured; we are a very friendly group. We also welcome those from the LGBTQ+ community.
Networking Sessions for INTERNATIONALS and LOCALS!
Regular monthly get togethers to meet up with people and get to know each other.
Whether you are new to the city or not, come and join the Carinthian International Center at the Networking Sessions in Villach and Klagenfurt.
The Networking evening is a great opportunity to meet interesting people and to exchange ideas and experiences in a nice welcoming atmosphere. Newcomers can take the opportunity to get useful information about life in Carinthia. People from all over the world are very welcome.
Networking Session Villach: We usually meet on the first Thursday of the month from 18.00 - 20.00 hrs. We will inform you of the venue.
Networking Session Klagenfurt: We usually meet every 3rd Thursday of the month from 18.00 - 20.00 hrs. We will inform you of the venue.
No registration is neded!
This is a great opportunity to get together with other internationals! Newcomers can take the opportunity to get useful information about living in Carinthia. For those speaking German it is a good opportunity to freshen up the English skills. We also speak German, for those who want to improve their German.
Children are welcome. If the weather is fine we can sit outside.
